Most people on tumblr won’t reblog this because it doesn’t “fit” their blog.

Well, this baby girl has a disease. It’s a cancer that is slowly eating up her body. Its called Necrotizing Fasciitis (Flesh-Eating Bacteria). She is currently under serious condition. This was put on tumblr to be reblogged for donations. Each reblog is equivalent to $1. The more reblogs, the more money goes for her treatment. Every 4 hours a child dies from cancer. I am praying for her.

What if this baby was your daughter/sister/niece .. etc. How would you feel?

Reason number one is a play on language (“men love smart women”) where the word “men”, in contrast to “boys”, implies that they will gain a more adult male as a partner. Not to mention that it isn’t fact, it’s a matter of opinion.

Reason number two is a lie, the human mind actually rejects complete symmetry in the human face. It looks un-natural to the human mind.

Reason number three is actually believable.

And reason number four is ridiculous anyway.

Not to mention, whoever wrote this can’t spell: “diffetent”.

Studies may show that more ‘intelligent’ girls are depressed, even though you do not actually have proof, I’m not going to argue with that because it could be true or false - I will never know. But to hypothesise that it is, “because they know what the world is really like”, is completely ridiculous. You are making assumptions based on your own subjective view of your own personal life. There could be a hundred reasons as to why a person is depressed, you cannot simply make assumptions around the results of a study. Furthermore: “what the world is really like”, is that an insult to people with lower intelligence? Are you suggesting that people with a lower IQ cannot ‘see’ the world in the same way as you do? Because that would be another ridiculous assumption behind this image.

This is one of those outlandish posts that make me despise Tumblr sometimes.

Also, to clarify, I’m not insulting the person that I reblogged this from nor anybody else who has posted this before. I simply think that it is a ridiculous picture, ergo I am expressing my opinions about it.
